Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Friction Crush Welded 1145 Aluminum Sheets with Flanged Edges

چکیده

The past two decades have witnessed prompt advances in aluminum alloy welding methods. Friction crush (FCW) has been recommended to be one of the key solutions join these particular alloys with a range plate thickness. This study aims contribute this technique by conducting several experiments investigate effect using three traverse speeds (120, 140, and 160 mm/min); rotational (1400 1500 rpm) on produces joint. These parameters were considered 1145 Aluminum sheets 1mm produced joints evaluated optical micrographs, micro-hardness, SEM, tensile tests properties. results showed that best joint 41 MPa strength, 24 HV micro- hardness, microstructure obtained at 1400 rpm speed and160 mm/min speed.
